Afraid Of What I Have Seen
|
On Friday afternoon after school, I quickly prepared myself before my friends came. At about 8 in the evening, my friends came and we went to the Betio Sport Complex. It was a very dark night and raining too.
When we arrived at the Sports Complex, there were many people sitting there. We walked around to find our place that we would feel comfortable to sit. I saw my brother, so I told my friends that we all must go to him. He was very surprised to see me as I was now very far away from home. I calmed him down by telling him that I came with my friends.
It was fun and interesting for us because we were with our boyfriends. We talked, laughed and made lots of fun with each other. I then became sleepy, so I asked my friends to go back. We walked to the road and waited for the bus.
While we were waiting, my friends told me thay they heard a voice from the house that was behind us. I was very afraid and we waited to see what happened. Suddenly, we saw a man carrying somebody and a knife in his hand. We hid ourselves and watched him. We knew he was a killer and if he saw us he would chase and kill us too. So we ran back into the Sports Complex and asked my brother to accompany us at the bus stop. Meanwhile, the bus arrrived and we were on our way back home.
When I arrived home, I quickly ran to my room and lay still - thinking about that dangerous man. I could not sleep that night because I was still scared of what I had seen.
